[AN] Taylor thought that since workers were paid directly in line with their output and efforts, piece-rate systems provided a more equitable form of compensation.
[AN+] This is consistent with "a fair day's wage for a fair day's work."

[AN] Workers are more likely to work harder and produce more when they have the possibility of earning more money through increased productivity

[AN] workers would start producing more as an incentive for earning more money would be made.
[AN+] this would result in an increase in output of the business and lower average costs due to increase in production.

[KN] will measure workers effort
[AN] As in peice rate money is given according to the number of products made whole in time rate same amount of money is given regardless of the effort spend by the workers.
[AN+] this results in motivation for workers to work harder and decreases labour costs of the business.

[KN]piece rate provides employees with more incentive to produce
[AN]this increases their productivity and speed of work
[AN+]this provides the business with hgiher outputs and lower acerage costs

[KN]it gives employees a sense of empowerment as they earn every penny with their hard work
[AN]this increases job satisfaction and engagement
[AN+]this increases employee retention and reduces costs for the business as they wont have to spend time looking for new workers

Increased output efficiency

Piece rate systems are performance based pay so workers naturally work harder to achieve their targets to get paid enough thus the system can be used as a sort of motivation for the employees to work harder


This method is simple to understand and wages to be paid to a worker can easily be calculated It offers good incentives to efficient workers thus a win for both the employer and employees
