I can't think of a second KN so I only did half of the question
KN: Giving employees more freedom encourages to make their own decisions
AN: This makes them self sufficient and helps them learn on the job
AN+: So in times of not having a manager easily available as they may be on leave the employees still function efficiently avoiding a potential crisis without leadership
AN+: Letting them make their own plans also increases their skill set as they gain hands on experience through their work which could be useful to the business if they need that skill, instead of hiring someone new entirely they just give a small bonus to them which lowers salary cost for the business
