11 For an automated, modern factory, explain which method of measuring size is LEAST useful.[3]
Hint: Number of employees > The factory is designed to use machines, not people > This measure would completely fail to capture its scale and value.

(KN)Number of Employees the business has.
(APP)Since, it is the instance of modern day factory, most of the production done today for manufactured products is done completely by heavy machinery, so a modern factory would employ barely any workers.
(AN)Thus, making this measure the least useful as the business' number of employees will not accurately reflect it's demand and output, so using this measure will lead to inaccurate results, so poorer decision making by businesses in the secondary sector of the economy, worsening competitive ability.

[KN] The number of employees a business has.
[APP] For example in a modern factory most of the work is done by the machines and very few employees are required to get the job done.
[AN] Hence as a result using this measure would lead to inaccurate result which will lead to errors and delays in decision making which will further reduce its competition.

[KN]For an automated, modern factory, the number of employees is the least useful method of measuring size.
[APP]A modern car manufacturing plant, for example, might produce thousands of vehicles each month using advanced robots and computer-controlled machines but employ only a few hundred workers to supervise and maintain the systems.
[AN]Therefore, using employee numbers would underestimate the true size and economic importance of an automated factory which can lead to a negative impact on brand image and hence may lead towards a reduction in consumer base.

It is the number of employees
There will be machinery that will affect how many products will be created
Due to this the comparison will not be through employees

[KN] For an automated, modern factory, the number of employees is the least useful way to measure size.
[APP] For example, a factory like Tesla uses advanced robots and machines to make cars, so it can produce a lot with only a small number of workers.
[AN] This means counting employees gives a misleading idea of the factory’s true size and output because modern automation allows high production levels without needing many people.

[KN]A modern automated factory mainly uses machines instead of many workers.
[APP]For example, a car factory may produce thousands of vehicles with only a few employees.
[AN]The number of employees would be the least useful way to measure its size because automation reduces the need for labour. Even with few workers the business could still be very large in output, capital and sales. So, employee numbers would give a false idea of the factory’s true size.

[KN] By measuring the number of employees
[APP] For instance, an automated, modern car manufacturing factory would have more advanced automated machinery (capital employed) than workers employed as these machines work automatically and require less labour, decreasing the number of employees hired by the car manufacturer.
[AN] This means that measuring the size of the manufacturer by checking its number of employees is useless as it would show that the business is small while its output is in large amounts, making it difficult to figure out the true size of the factory.

[KN] For an automated modern factory, measuring size by the number of employees is least useful because machines replace much of the human labour.
[APP] For example, a high-tech car factory might have only a few workers monitoring robots, even though it produces thousands of cars each day and has huge investment in equipment.
[AN] This means the factory would appear small if judged by its workforce even though it operates on a massive scale with large output and investment leading to misleading conclusions about its true production capacity and business importance and can interrupt in decision making.

KN:The number of employees is a less useful measure of business size for an automated factory.
App: For example, Tesla’s production facilities use robots and AI systems to assemble cars with minimal labour.
An: Even though the factory is large in output and value, its small workforce gives a misleading impression of size, making capital employed or output more relevant measures.

KN: In an automated factory, the number of employees is the least useful way to measure size because machines do most of the work.
APP: E.g a modern car plant may produce thousands of cars with only a few workers.
AN: So measuring the employees would make it seem small, even though it's large and productive.

[KN] Measuring the business size through number of employees.
[APP] For instance, a modern, automated car manufacturing plant might use robots and AI to assemble vehicles, requiring minimal human labour.
[AN] Consequently, relying solely on employee numbers would provide a misleading and inaccurate representation of the factory's actual size, output, and economic impact, potentially leading to poor strategic decisions.
