08 Outline two features of Taylor's motivational theory. [8]
[KN] Taylor’s theory assumes workers are motivated by financial incentive i.e. piece-rate system where pay is directly linked to individual output.
[KN] Taylor emphasized scientific selection and training of workers to match their abilities to specific, simplified tasks.

Re: 08 Outline two features of Taylor's motivational theory. [8]
KN: Taylor’s theory promotes dividing work into small, simple tasks so that workers can specialize and become highly efficient.
APP: For example, in an assembly line, one worker may fit a single component repeatedly rather than making the entire product.
AN: This reduces time spent learning multiple tasks and increases output.
AN+: As a result, productivity rises and the business can produce more in less time
KN: Taylor believed managers should closely supervise workers to ensure they follow the most efficient methods.
APP: For instance, a manager monitors assembly line workers to ensure they follow standardized procedures.
AN: This reduces mistakes and ensures consistency in production quality.
AN+: Consequently, efficiency and output are maximized, reinforcing the link between pay and performance.

KN:Taylor’s theory assumes workers are motivated by financial incentives such as a piece rate system where pay is directly linked to individual output.
APP:forexample a factory worker earns more if they produce more units per day.
AN:this encourages employees to work harder and increase productivity.
AN+:as a result the business benefits from higher output and efficiency.
KN:Taylor emphasized selecting and training workers scientifically to match their abilities to specific simplified tasks.
APP:forinstance a machine operator is trained specifically for one type of machine rather than being given multiple complex tasks.
AN:this ensures workers are skilled for the job they perform reducing errors.
AN+:consequently production becomes more efficient and quality improves.

Re: 08 Outline two features of Taylor's motivational theory. [8]
point 1: Pay motivates workers
(KN)
Taylor believed workers are mainly motivated by money. He suggested that people work harder if their pay depends on how much they produce, for example using a piece-rate system.
(APP)
For example, in a factory making shoes, workers could be paid extra for each pair of shoes they make above the target. This encourages them to work faster and produce more.
(AN)
Firstly, linking pay to output motivates workers to focus on producing more.
Secondly, it can increase efficiency because workers try to complete tasks quickly.
Thirdly, higher output means the business earns more profit, which benefits both workers and the company.
(AN+)
In the long run, this system encourages a culture of hard work and productivity. Workers are motivated to reach targets, and the business becomes more competitive while maintaining steady production levels.
Point 2: Right person for the right job
(KN)
Taylor also believed workers should be carefully selected and trained for specific tasks. Each person should do the job they are best at, and jobs should be simplified to make them easier and faster.
(APP)
For example, in a car factory, one worker may be trained only to fit tires while another assembles doors. Each worker focuses on their task to become skilled and fast.
(AN)
Firstly, matching workers to the right job reduces mistakes and waste.
Secondly, it makes production faster because workers can specialize and work efficiently.
Thirdly, employees feel more confident in doing tasks they are trained for, which increases output.
(AN+)
Over time, this ensures the factory runs smoothly, with fewer errors and higher productivity. Workers feel competent in their jobs, and the business benefits from a steady, skilled workforce that meets production targets consistently.

Re: 08 Outline two features of Taylor's motivational theory. [8]
Feature1
[KN] Taylor’s theory focuses on financial rewards to motivate workers.
[APP] For example, a factory worker gets paid more if they produce extra products.
[AN] This encourages employees to work harder, complete more tasks, and reduces laziness.
[AN+] As a result, the business can increase output and make more profit.
Feature2
[KN] Taylor’s theory emphasizes specialization of tasks.
[APP] For example, each worker in a car factory only assembles doors, while another installs engines.
[AN] This makes workers faster, more skilled at their task, and reduces mistakes.
[AN+] As a result, production becomes more efficient, and the business can meet customer demand.

Re: 08 Outline two features of Taylor's motivational theory. [8]
KN: According to Taylor's theory, employees are more motivated through financial incentives like the piece rate system in which they are paid per piece/unit they produce.
APP: For example, at a toy manufacturing plant, they workers will be working harder if they know they are going to be paid for it.
AN: Due to this, the output will increase and tjis may lead towards bulk buying of raw materials. Through this they can enjoy economies of scale and this allows them to offer lower prices to the final customers as the coat of production decreases too. This will increase their sales, revenue and profit too.
AN+: This can later be reinvested in the business so thus, this part of Taylor's theory ensures the factory's long term survival.
KN2: Taylor also emphasized I'm his theory on scientific selection and and training the employees to match their abilities to specific, simplified tasks.
APP: This means that the factory should observe and select their best employee and apply their methods of production on all the other employees and the factory manager should also try to give the employees the tasks which they are best at performing for example they should not make the person good at marketing the finance department's head.
AN: This will allow the employees to become experts at their relative fields, decreasing chances of errors and improving overall performance and efficiency at workplace, due to which they may get promoted. This improves their living standards and they become loyal to the firm.
AN+: Through this the factory/organization will be able to retain their culture. Thus, this feature of Taylor's theory helps an organization to avoid workplace politics and boost efficiency.
